Nurses without BIG registration<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Can you continue to work as a nurse without a BIG registration?<\/strong>
If you are not registered as a nurse in the BIG register, all rights (and obligations) associated with this will lapse. Nurses without a BIG registration<\/u><\/a> may continue to work as caregivers. They are then ‘nurse not practicing’ and may not use the title ‘caregiver’. <\/p>

Performing reserved actions<\/strong>
They are also no longer allowed to perform reserved actions independently, only on the instructions of a qualified healthcare professional. However, the requirement of competence continues to apply in this case. So even a nurse who is not practising must keep his\/her competence up to date at all times. <\/p>

How can you still remain competent as a nurse without BIG registration?<\/strong>
To remain competent in the profession, you must continue to practice your profession. However, it is not always possible to continue to perform all nursing procedures continuously. <\/p>
