What is the Quality Register?<\/strong>
The quality register is an initiative of V&VN. In this register, both nurses and caregivers can register on a voluntary basis. Through this register, healthcare professionals can keep track of their work experience and expertise in a clear way. <\/p>

A healthcare professional must obtain 184 ODA points<\/u><\/a> in 5 years. For nurses, 80 of these must be accredited and for caregivers 60 points. Accreditation points can be obtained by following activities accredited by the V&VN. <\/p>

The nursing procedures that you can practice and test with CareUp are accredited by the V&VN. With CareUp, you can currently obtain up to 22 accreditation points<\/u><\/a> . <\/p>

A healthcare professional can obtain the ODA points by participating in activities that promote expertise, such as clinical lessons, participation in a committee or reading professional literature.<\/p>

What is the difference between the quality register and the BIG register?<\/strong><\/p>

The BIG register<\/u> <\/a>works on the basis of work experience. The quality register keeps track of how competent a healthcare professional is. Both registers aim to guarantee the quality of care. <\/p>

Only nurses are registered in the BIG register. Caregivers is not in this. In the quality register, both caregivers and nurses can keep track of their competence. <\/p>

Another difference is that it is mandatory for nurses to be registered in the BIG register. If they are not registered in this, but they do want to perform their profession, they are obliged to put “non-practicing” after their professional title, so that clients know that they are no longer officially competent. Registration in the quality register, on the other hand, is voluntary. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
